The idea behind this website is to have an easily shareable link to send to your fellow social networkers to remind them of the importance of not fully relying on Facebook, GMail and the like to keep their important pictures, emails, blog posts etc

Think about it, if all of your friends Facebook accounts were deleted, how many of them would lose photos forever? While you might say that is an unlikely scenario, the fact is that if the data is important to you, you should be taking care of it.
